Symposium Program and Call for
Posters
Every morning and afternoon, sessions will be started with a lecture by
one of the chemistry Nobel Laureates or other distinguished scholars.
Oral presentations are by invitation only. However, interested participants
may submit proposals to the organizers for consideration. Physical chemistry
and chemical physics researchers should contact Dr. Yun-Bo Duan [email protected].
Scientists from any other research field and from industry, should contact
Dr. Shu-Kun Lin, [email protected].
Participants from China, should contact Dr. Xianguo Li, [email protected].
All attendees will have the opportunity of presenting posters at the symposium.
A one-page abstract for every poster will be included in the abstract
book. Full papers (invited and contributed, oral presentation and posters)
will be considered for publication in the special proceedings issue of
MOLECULES, http://www.mdpi.org/molecules/.
Manuscripts and posters should be submitted electronically via email to

before July 1 2002.
Selected lectures and posters will be broadcast on the internet (http://www.mdpi.org/isfms2002).
Brief instructions for preparing the abstract are given here. The abstract
should be emailed before February 28, 2002 to [email protected].
It is requested that the abstract should be in Microsoft Word format.
The corresponding author's mailing address, phone and fax numbers and
e-mail address should be supplied. Information concerning the acceptance
of papers will be announced by the end of March 2002.
Professors are encouraged to bring or send their students to the conference.
Graduate students are encouraged to attend the conference and actively
communicate with the speakers. Low cost accommodation will be provided
for students.
Format of Abstracts
Abstracts should be submitted in three copies in English according to
the following format:
Text area: A4 size paper with 25 mm margin all around.
Text font: Times New Roman.
Title in boldface and 14 pts font size with single spacing; capitalize
the first letter of each word.
Name(s) of author(s) in 12 pts font size with single spacing; the
presenter's name being underlined.
Affiliation in 12 pts font size with single spacing; leave one
line as spacing with the text.
Text in 12 pts font size with single spacing.
References should appear in the text as numbers within square brackets
and listed at the end of the abstract in 12 pts font size with single
spacing. The reference should follow the ACS journal (e.g., J. Am. Chem.
Soc.) style:
[1] Author, A. Journal Title, year, volume, initial page.
