Molecules, A Journal of Synthetic Organic Chemistry and Natural Product Chemistry. ISSN 1420-3049, CODEN: MOLEFW, Journal DOI: 10.3390/molecules, Vol. 13, 2008. Published online monthly. Printed (print on demand) and CD-ROM (on demand) editions are also available. © 2008 by MDPI (http://www.mdpi.org). Molecules was the first peer-refereed chemistry journal supporting the deposit and exchange of rare chemical samples. Molecules is indexed and abstracted very rapidly by CrossFire Beilstein, Chemical Abstracts (CAplus); Science Citation Index Expanded; Chemistry Citation IndexCurrent Contents/Physical, Chemical & Earth Sciences; SciSearch, Research Alert; PubMed; Scopus and Google Scholar. The Impact Factor for Molecules is 1.113 in 2005 and 0.841 in 2006 (The reduced impact factor is due to the adverse impact of non-Open Access papers published in 2005; see the supporting data and an explanation published in a recent Editorial).
  • Open Access: free for readers, with low publishing fees paid by authors or their institutions. The non-Open Access papers will reduce impact factor of an MDPI journal (please find the supporting data and an explanation published in a recent Editorial).
  • Rapid publication: Well written papers have been peer reviewed and published in less than two weeks from manuscript submission, see an example.
